After dropping the first set, Andujar seemed on his way for a clean sweep being up a break in the second. That was counting out the Hewitt fighting spirit. The ex-number 1 in the world broke back and then won the the next two games to tie the match at one set a piece. However, slightly short physically, Hewitt was broken early in the third and was unable to come back. After the match and despite the loss, Hewitt was "happy" with his performance. Andujar, the gentleman that he is let Hewitt know, during the handshake, that "it was an honor" for him to play someone he used to admire on TV.
